The Bible mentions often about anointing oil, starting from the Old Testament to the New Testament. What is the importance of anointing oil? Anointing oil is an important aspect in sanctifying a person or an object. It is being used by servants of God prior to do His works, so they are equipped by His miraculous power. Additionally, the anointing oil has healing power to heal the sick. According to the Word of God, one of the ingredients of the anointing oil is olive oil, which is produced by crushing the olive fruit to extract the juice. This extraction process shows His sacrifice for us on the cross. Therefore, there is great power within our prayer when it is being accompanied by the anointing oil.
