PRAY AND BE VIGILANT

I READ: 1 Pet 5: 6-11. Ef 6: 10-18

At this moment, we live in the spiritual battle in which the devil uses his effective weapons to take as many God’s children to live in sin and out of God’s will. We must guard our life with prayer without ceasing and always be on guard toward the devil’s schemes. Prayer has to be our breath of living, which means that if we haven’t prayed for one day, we should be feeling like something is missing. When we pray, we humble ourselves in God’s presence, and it will rise up our faith. Through prayer we will gain the strength to fight our desires to sin and to fight off the devil’s intimidation in our life. Besides praying with simple words, the Word of God also reminds us to pray in Spirit. When we pray in Spirit, the Holy Spirit delivers our requests to the Lord without the devil understanding it.

I DECLARE: Proverb 15: 29 – The Lord is far from the wicked, but He Hears the prayer of the righteous.

I DO: What actions will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
