PRAISE AND WORSHIP

I READ: 2  Chronicles 20:1-28

The king of Jehoshaphat was one of the greatest kings of Judah in his day.  He was a man who feared and ruled his people according to the Lord’s commands . At one time during his reign the Ammonites and Moabites were about to attack Judah. King Jehoshaphat soon gathered his people to pray and fast together to seek the Lord.  The Lord answered their prayers and told them not to be afraid, for the Lord would fight for them. Their part in the battlefield, that the Lord commanded, was to praise and cheer.  The next day they went to war with joy while praising the Lord and cheering.  And amazingly when they praised the Lord and shouted, the Lord defeated their enemies.  They experienced a great victory.

I DECLARE: Acts 16: 25-26 -But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

I DO: What action am I going to do after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
