OBEDIENCE TO GOD

I READ: Matthew 26:36-46.

Jesus Christ is the perfect example of obedience. During His final days before His crucifixion, He was distressed and trembled that he felt like dying. In the middle of His sorrows, He prayed to His father in Heaven: “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.” His obedience to sacrifice Himself on the cross saved mankind from eternal damnation in Hell. There are many God’s children who are struggling to obey God but obedience is a choice. Succeeding in one obedience will ease us to the next obedience and so on and it will result in total obedience in all things in our lives. Obeying God is a token that we love God, we want to please God and in return, He will do many miracles for us.

I DECLARE: Acts 5:29: But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.”

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
