NEW STRENGTH

I READ: Isaiah 40: 29-31; 57:10

Someone who is weak needs to rest. Weakness from having a heavy workload, doing a heavy exercise, being busy with too many responsibilities, as well as problems and pressure from the evil one can cause anyone to fall. There might be someone who serves the Lord with such passion, but who suddenly loses it all. Evidently, they might have recently felt like a failure in life, feeling like they work to no avail, and that there is no value to their life. This situation is similar to someone who is weak from exercise and who needs rest in order to restore their strength. For us as children of God, both in our ministry and in our overall lives, it is important that we have time to rest, that is, to have personal time with the Lord. In those moments, we can meditate once again on Christ’s great love for us, His love that was so great that He was willing to give everything for us. The love of Christ will give us renewed passion and strength.

I DECLARE: Psalm 42:1: As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.

I DO: Today I will take heed of my personal time with the Lord, and I will renew my commitment to have a devotional time.

I PRAY: Today I will pray for my friends who need new strength from the Lord while remembering the Word of God that I have read today.
