I READ: Mark 10:35-45
When Jesus was still on earth, His life was filled with the ministry of the work of God. As we have been made in His image, we should also follow Him as He has shown us how to minister in this life. Our love for Him will drive us to have the desire to serve Him by taking part in the ministry of our local church. When God has planted that desire to serve in our hearts and we do not take action, there will be a void in our lives that could not be filled with anything else. For us to be faithful in our ministry we have to constantly focus on our Lord for it is Him who we willingly and joyfully serve, not human beings. When we are able to focus on Him in our ministry regardless of what challenges we face in our ministry, we will still be able to serve joyfully because our work is to make our Father’s heart happy. Lastly, our ministry and journey requires a sacrifice of our time and sometimes our money, but when we focus on God we know that our hearts is not attached to those things but instead to make the Father joyful with the desire of our hearts.
I DECLARE: John 12:26 – If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. “
