I READ: 1 Corinthians 10:23-24, 1 Corinthians 10:33.
A community will continue to exist and remain a solid state if each member is thinking of other’s well-being and not seek his/her own profit. This is not an easy task because in general, humans are selfish. When selfishness arises, then love dissipates. Selfish people can’t be good example for others. To suppress own ego and to prioritize other’s well-being, we have to be willing to sacrifice oneself. Sacrifice is one of Christ’s act that we have to practice often in this life. Sacrifice that we do for other’s well-being will be a great testimony for them to see the love of Christ within us. These acts of sacrifice will open up the eyes for others to follow.
I DECLARE: James 3:16: “For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.”
I DO: I pray to God to help me see others around me that may need my help and to have compassion to help them out.
I PRAY: I will ask God to rid my selfishness that often arises in my heart.
