LOVE ACCOMPANIED BY FORGIVENESS

Daily Verse: Matthew 6:9-15.

Key Verse: Matthew 6:14-15: ”For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins”.

Forgiveness is a desire and an act to forgive one’s mistake and forgetting what he/she has done. Once you forgive, there shouldn’t be any more negative feelings and there shouldn’t be the desire to get revenge. If we are not able to forgive someone, then our Father in heaven will not be able to forgive our sins. Why? Because the Lord God said it Himself in Mark 11:26. The effects of not forgiving are not great. Usually, individuals who are not able to forgive have conflicts with others easily and they are easily offended. The result is these individuals’ hearts are filled with bitterness and inner wounds. A heart that is not clean can cause different sicknesses and diseases. Not being able to forgive is one way the devil is trying to ruin one’s life.
That is why, don’t allow bitterness and anger to take over us, but instead, open the door of forgiveness wide open for others. Love is only complete if it’s accompanied by unending forgiveness.

If we have forgiven someone, don’t ever remember the things he/she has done to hurt us.
