LIVING IN THE WORD

I READ: Joshua 1: 1-9

When Moses died, the nation of Israel was still in the wilderness, although God’s promise was that He would bring them to the Promised Land – a land filled with milk and honey, a land that is fertile, and a land that is filled with abundant blessings. The Lord remembered His promise and called Joshua to lead the nation of Israel to inhabit the Promised Land. The Lord’s promise to Joshua is that in order for him to succeed he needs to continue to live in the Word of God. What does it mean to live in His Word? It means we read the Word of God every day and meditate and start to act on it seriously in our life. Apart from that we also always need to declare His Word. The Word of God in John 15: 5 and 7 says that if we abide in His Word then our life will be fruitful, we will start to experience God’s visitation and whatever we pray for, we shall receive.

I DECLARE:  John 15: 7: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

I DO: Today I will start to meditate on His Word diligently and will not miss any days. I will start to declare His Word which is a Rhema in my life.

I PRAY: Today I will pray for the leader that the Lord has put above me, whether it be in my family, workplace, or in my local church. I will bless them through my prayers.
