I READ: 1 Thessalonians 4
Apostle Paul reminded the congregation in Thessalonians that the coming of the Lord Jesus is near. Therefore, they need to live a life pleasing to God, which means that they needed to live in holiness. We can do so if we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Living a holy life also means that we love one another and that we are respectful of others. Paul taught the congregation that if they lived a life pleasing to God and lived in holiness, then God Himself will pick up His church and rapture them when He comes for the second time. His church will not experience persecution on earth, instead they will reign with God.
I DECLARE: 1 Thessalonians 4:1 – Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God.
