KING JEHOSHAPHAT

I READ: 2 Chronicles 20:1-28

King Jehoshaphat was a well-known Judah king. He was a man who feared the Lord and who ruled his nation according to the Lord’s commandments. There was a time when Ammon and Moab were going to attack Judah. King Jehoshaphat gathered his people to pray, fast, and to seek the Lord’s face. The Lord answered their prayers and gave the message for them to not fear because the Lord was going to fight for them. The very next day, they went to battle rejoicing as they praised the Lord and were shouting with joy. It was amazing because as they were praising the Lord and shouting with joy, the Lord defeated the enemies. They experienced a great victory and even had possession of the enemies’ wealth for 3 days.

I DECLARE: Acts 16:25-26 – But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God … Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
