I READ: Hebrews 7 : 17 – 28
Another reason why Jesus ascended to heaven is so that He can be the mediator and the intercessor for us, to come before God the Father. Even now, Jesus intercedes for us before the Father in heaven. Sometimes we feel like we’re alone and no one is praying for us. We feel as if we have to carry all the burden in this life alone. We forget that the Lord loves us and always intercedes for us and He is always with us. Furthermore, He is our mediator and defender for us when the devil comes to convict us. He is standing in the gap to face the devil to help us. Jesus does not slumber. How comforting it is to know that Jesus is always protecting us.
