HONORING GOD

Daily Verses Job 1:1-5 & 1: 22.

Key Verse: John 5:23: “…that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Father who sent him.”

Job was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. He would burnt daily offerings to appease God for all his children wrongdoings. When Satan took all his possessions, family and health, Job continued to be blameless and upright. He did not sin nor charged God with wrong (Job 1:22). Throughout his life, Job honored God, Job understood that his God is a great God, the creator of heaven and earth with His absolute Sovereignty. He understood that God is worthy to receive highest honor. His actions resulted God to restore Job’s life and gave him twice as much as he had before. We can’t measure the amount of honor for God by how diligently we attend church or how exceptional we are in serving him but how we are living our lives. Have we utilize our time according to His will? Have we employ His blessings justly? Have we put right our action and words so it won’t be a stumbling block for others? When others see us, will they witness righteous living so God can be glorified?

When we honor God, we will be honored by others.
