I READ: Joel 2:28-29, John 14:26-27
Before we start to pray for others, we should first pray and ask the Lord to speak to us. There are a few ways the Lord can provide guidance. First, God can provide visions as He did with Paul. Paul saw a vision of the Macedonians calling upon him before he went and ministered there, Acts 16:9–10. Second, the Lord can give us a strong expression or desire. In 2 Corinthians 2:13, Paul felt uneasy when he immediately went to visit Titus. Third, the Lord can speak through our conscience – we can hear His soft voice. In Acts 21:4 the disciples heard the Holy Spirit speak to them to advise Paul. The Lord can also remind us of His Word, John 14:26. After we receive confirmation from the Lord, we can then pray for souls.
I DECLARE: John 14:26 – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
