HEAD OF THE BODY

I READ: Colossians 1:15-23.

A body that is complete has a head and none of its members are missing. For example, the brain and the five senses that exist in the head will control every organ in the body, which enables a person to move and perform activities. If someone has a brain and senses that are malfunctioning, the body and its members will not be able to perform their tasks well. The same goes for our lives as Christians. Jesus is the head of the body, which is also His church. Jesus’ desire is to control every aspect of His church’s body, who are also His children. However, many of its members do not want to be controlled. Because of this, the body experiences hardships, sufferings, problems, and even destruction. The Lord Jesus, who is the Head of the body, is coming soon and He is preparing His body to live harmoniously with the Head and other members. As a member of the body of Christ, we should fix and submit our lives to the Head, who is Christ. So, when the time comes, we can be united with Jesus, the Head, for eternity.

I DECLARE:  1 Corinthians 12:20: “But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.”

I DO:  I will submit and obey Jesus, who is the head of the Church.

I PRAY: I will pray so that there are harmony and good relationship among the body of Christ. This is to ensure that God’s name is glorified.
