GLORIFYING THE LORD

Daily Verses : Philippians 1 : 19 – 30

Key Verse : Philippians 1 : 21-22 : For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!

Through Paul’s letter we, God’s church, are reminded that are lives are purposed to glorify Christ, verse 20. What did Paul mean by a life the glorifies Christ? Our lives have to be in harmony with God’s word, verse 27. That means that our lives have to be based according to God’s word. A lot of God’s children don’t live as God’s word says. They still live with a lot of compromising with sin and the world. So, their lives don’t become blessings to other people and maybe even become stumbling blocks. The second thing that Paul meant by a life that glorifies Christ is a life that bears fruit. John 15:8 says that when we bear much fruit, it glorifies the Lord. We will also enjoy the fruits of our lives, and people around us will also enjoy the fruits of our lives. Our presence will bless other people and will bring them to the Lord.

When we live to Glorify the Lord, without realizing it, we are bringing souls to come to Him.
