GIVE WITH A THANKFUL HEART

I READ : Matthew 15 : 32 – 39

This passage talked about how the disciples barely had enough food at that time to feed the four thousand men. However, they ended up giving all that they had to Jesus even though they might have been unwilling to do so in the first place. Not only did the disciples enjoy the fruit of their obedience, but they also witnessed other people receiving victories and miracles. This situation should be a gentle reminder that when Jesus asks us to sacrifice our time, energy, talents, possession, etc., we should do it with joy and sincerity. Verse 36 also reminds us the importance of thanksgiving. When Jesus knew that the food would not be enough to feed the multitude, He still maintained a thanksgiving posture that resulted in the amazing miracles and victories that no one could have ever imagined.

I DECLARE : Luke 6 : 38 : Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

I DO : What actions am I going to take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY : Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
