I READ: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22.
Many people have a misunderstanding of the true meaning of thanksgiving. Their opinion of showing gratitude is when they give thanks verbally. the right way of showing gratefulness starts from the heart, a heart that is filled with thanksgiving to God. First Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us that we must give thanks in all circumstances, no matter what our personal conditions may be. God sees our heart and He will bestow rewards to those that owned a thankful heart. A heart that has the ability to give thanks in all situations is from God, not because of all of the good things that God has done for us. Do not envy others if their prayers have been answered or if they have received miracles from God. Continue to give thanks despite the fact that the miracles is yet happening. Continue to hold on God’s promises and they will come to pass if we have a thankful heart. (Psalm 37:4) “Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
I DECLARE: Colossians 4:2:” Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;”
I DO: First thing in the morning, I will give thanks and show my gratitude for God’s goodness in my life.
I PRAY: I will lift up intercessory prayer for people I know who are experiencing problems, so that they are given strength and an answer to their prayers, in God’s time
