I READ: Malachi 3:8-12
Everything in this world is the Lord’s and He wants us to steward it with the wisdom, strength, and health from Him. The Lord’s authority in our lives symbolizes His possession over what we’ve already earned. However, because of His love for us, He only asks for the tenth out of all that we earn to be returned to Him. Unfortunately often we feel entitled to keep all of what we earn, thinking that we earned it by our own intelligence and strength. The Word of God reminds us not to “rob” God by not returning the tenth of our income to Him. On the other hand, He will protect our possessions and bless us abundantly when we tithe with a cheerful heart.
I DECLARE: Malachi 3:10 – “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
