I READ: 2 Samuel 6:14-23
King David was a man who loved God deeply in his life, he placed God above all else. Even though he had a very respectable position as a king, he still placed God above all else. When he moved the Ark of The Covenant to the city of David, he danced with all his might because of his love for God. He didn’t care that he was king. All he focused on was the presence of the Lord in his life. David was despised and humiliated by his wife, Michal, for what he did for the Lord. His pride was meaningless compared to the presence of God in his life. When we place Jesus first in our lives, our focus is no longer on us. As people who have been made righteous, we do not have to worry about what others say about us because we shouldn’t focus on them. Instead, we should focus on God.
I DECLARE: 1 Petrus 5:6 -Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
