FAITHFUL IN GIVING

Daily Verses: Matthew 25:34-46.

Key Verse: Proverbs 11:25: “The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.”

Humans have the tendency to give only if they have fulfilled their personal needs and this is often the case with God’s children. If we read the Word of God on giving, it does not say that we give only when we can but it says that the door of blessing will be opened when we first give. Declare this promise of the Lord when we are giving. For God’s children, giving covers two aspects – 1)for God 2)for other human beings. Giving to the Lord can be in these forms – tithe, general offering, and mission offering. Giving to other humans can be in these forms – giving to the poor, people who are in need, and your desire to bless others. There are some people who only give to the Lord and do not bother giving when others around them are in need. There are also others who only give to other humans and not the Lord. The right thing to do is to balance those two scenarios mentioned above. If we are faithful in giving to the Lord and others, it is guaranteed that we will never lack and our needs will always be fulfilled by the Lord.

The door of blessing will always be opened for those who are generous.
