DISCIPLESHIP

Daily Verses: Matthew 28: 18-20, 1 Corinthians 11: 1-2.

Key Verse: Matthew 28: 19a: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…

Once we successfully lead lost souls to Christ, the work doesn’t stop there. After accepting Jesus as their personal savior, subsequently they become followers of Christ and they receive the call to discipleship. They begin to learn about the word of truth, walk as children of light, live the kingdom of God lifestyle, activate the power of God and spread the gospel to others. We have the responsibility to lead them to a deeper knowledge of Jesus.   The most effective place for discipleship is at the local church. Invite them to affiliate themselves with any of the local churches with us accompanying them so together, we may experience the spiritual growth. They will learn not to compromise with sins and live in the power of God so they may live in victory in Jesus.

As disciples of God, we are obligated to live like Jesus lived, be a light, be holy, and have God’s authority. We need to build intimate relationship with Him, to become fishers of men and live in the truth.
