COMPASSION

I READ: Matthew 14:14-16, Luke 1:78

There was no such thing as evangelism that did not start with a prayer. Prayer is the first step in evangelism. In order for us to pray for others we need to have compassion towards them.  We will learn from Jesus Himself.  He showed great compassion whenever he evangelized to others. This compassion was what moved Jesus in His ministry as he became selfless towards the souls He reached out to.  Jesus loved and greatly longed for them to believe in Him so that they could be saved.  We need to ask God so that we can have the same compassion as Jesus did.  Compassion will encourage us to pray for others and be able to testify about God to others.

I DECLARE: Matthew 9:13 – But go and learn what this means: ‘I Desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance

I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
