Daily Verses: Proverbs 15:1- 4.
Key Verse : Matthew 5:5:” Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
Someone who is gentle is not the same as someone who is weak or indecisive. The word gentle comes from the Greek word Praus, which means gentle, humble heart, meekness, caring, and not rough. Someone who is gentle/meek has a few characteristics and they are – 1) This person will have the willingness to suffer for others. Jesus was a good example of this. He suffered and was crucified because of His great love for us. 2) This person will be open to criticism from the Lord. David was a good example of this type of person. When prophet Nathan rebuked David over his sin, David immediately repented and regretted his actions. Someone who is gentle/meek will always accept the truth and will not try to blame others. 3) This person is easily molded. Someone who is gentle/meek will be open to letting God mold him/her through the different situations that he/she experiences. When one looks at the great characteristics of someone who is meek/gentle, it should not be a surprise that the gentle/meek will inherit the earth. It also means that the meek/gentle will receive great blessings.
Gentleness will crush the hardened heart.
Daily Action:
I will make be gentle in my words so that I can be a blessing to others.
Daily Declaration :
Proverbs 15:1:” A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Daily Prayer:
I will pray so that every Christian family can be gentle so that there will be harmony and love in the family.
