ASSESSING AND WEIGHING

I READ: 1 Kings 3 : 16-28

When King Solomon was faced with a really important decision, he used a sword to come to a decision. What does a sword represent? A sword represents the Word of God according to Ephesians 6:17. The story of King Solomon taught us that when we’re about to make a really important decision in our life, we need to weigh it correctly so that our decision is according to God’s will which in turn will bring something amazing to our life. In order for us to weigh/assess and understand God’s will correctly, we need to use the right tool and that is the Word of God. The Word of God will be used as the basic standard for us to understand the will of God. Understanding the will of God will allow us to make the right decision without leaning heavily to one side or following our fleshly desire or the world’s desire or the devil’s desire. We need to weigh everything with God’s scale and not basing it on what we see, feel, or our own scale. So use the Word of God often as a scale to weigh the decision in your life.

I DECLARE: Ephesians 6 : 17 : And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

I DO: Regardless of how big or small the decision I’m about to make in my life, I will weigh it against the Word of God before I step forward and execute it.

I PRAY: I will enter into prayer fasting, pray in the Spirit, enter into spiritual warfare, and declare and pray for the schools, offices, and my family members.
