ANSWERED PRAYERS

I READ: 1 Kings 18:20-46

When Elijah was in Mount Carmel, he showed the Israelites that the God of this nation was the God who answers prayers. The prophets of Baal prayed to their gods for the fire to come down from the sky, but nothing happened. Elijah only prayed once to the Lord for the fire to come down to burn the sacrifice and the Lord immediately answered his prayer. Elijah bravely challenged Baal because he was sure the Lord he believes in was able to do the impossible. From this story, we can see that the Lord pleasingly answers prayers that are bold and full of faith. We must believe that God always wants to answer our prayers and is willing to give the best for our lives. Never be discouraged and never stop praying until the Lord answers our prayers.

I DECLARE: Yakobus 5:16b – The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

I DO : What action am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY : Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
