Daily Verses: Hebrews 6: 11-20
Key Verse: Hebrews 6 : 12 : that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Abraham is the father of the faithful, for he gave an example to all believers on how to wait on the Lord’s visitation in life. The Lord promised Abraham that he will have children in his old age. While he was waiting for the Lord’s promise, the promise did not come that soon, even though Abraham grew older and it seemed impossible to have children. The book of Hebrews speaks of Abraham’s amazing faith, how he kept trusting in the Lord’s promise and that the hope that the Lord gives is sure, which allowed him to faithfully wait for the Lord’s promise, Abraham kept waiting on the Lord’s promise. Abraham believed that the Lord would not lie and break HIs promise and that the Lord is faithful to His promise. In the end, in God’s timing, Abraham had his promised child, Isaac. As believers, we need to learn from Abraham. Believe in the Lord’s promise and wait patiently until His promise is answered because our hope in Jesus Christ is sure.
Don’t stop half way, once we wait on the Lord’s promise, continue to wait until the Lord’s visitation happens.
Daily Action:
I will continue to pray and wait on the Lord’s promise that He has given me in my life. I will not stop praying until His promise is fulfilled in my life.
Daily Declaration:
Hebrews 6 : 19-20 : This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Daily Prayer:
Today I will pray for my family and our prayer points and declare God’s Word that is His promise/s for our family.
